Thanks for registering for a Motley Kids craft slot!
If you’re a returning Motley Kid, we’re so excited to see you again — but we’re trying things a little differently this time.
- You’re buying a ticket for a TIME and not a specific craft. That means we’ll have multiple options for your Kid to choose from, whenever you show up. Some things haven’t changed, though:
- Our crafts are designed to be run on kids time. Feel free to drop in any time during the scheduled session to complete your craft.
- There is frequently a rush at the beginning of each craft session. Most crafts will take 30 minutes or so to complete. Feel free to come a little bit late, we will still have supplies for you.
- If you kid is not feeling up to it, we get it. Check with our head table volunteer and they can get you a take-home craft kit.
- We ask that a responsible adult stay with your kid while they complete their crafts.
- Our room is frequently loud, chaotic, and high-stim. If your Motley Kid is going to have difficulty in that environment, please let us know so we can help you and your kid have the best experience.
- We do take photos in our room throughout our events. We may share these photos on social media and with our sponsors for promotional purposes. We invite everyone to take a wristband from our head table so we know if you are willing to be in pictures.

Motley Kids Drop-In Crafting:
Join the Motley Kids for a geeky kids craft! Choose from: Mini Painting, DIY Fairy Wings, Timey Wimey Clocks, Laser-cut Lanterns, MarioKart Turtle Sliders, or Luminescent Nebulae.

We’re trying a new format this year! Your Motley Kid can choose a craft from our Now Crafting menu – we’ll have pieces and instructions pre-packed for you. Find a crafting space and take as long as you need. We’ll be happy to help with any of the crafts – and we’ll have plenty of extras as well!
Thursday’s menu:
- Mini Painting: Adopt one of our kid-sized minis and paint it any way you like
- DIY Fairy Wings: Make and decorate a pair of fairy wings you can wear!
- Timey Wimey Clocks: We’ll provide the clockwork, you provide the creativity! Decorate your clock to tell time…or not, you decide.
- Laser-Cut Lanterns: Every good adventurer needs a lantern! Come decorate a colorful craft to light your way on your next adventure!
- MarioKart Turtle Sliders: Make your own turtle slider and knock your friends off the Rainbow Road!
- Luminescent Nebulae: Catch starlight in a jar with this UV luminescent craft!

Friday’s menu:
- Mini Painting: Adopt one of our kid-sized minis and paint it any way you like
- Friends of Kevin: Make a bird friend out of styrofoam balls! Advanced Motley Kids can make their friends into a marionette.
- Hatch a Dragon: We provide the pre-glittered flamingo and the bling. You hatch the best dragon ever!
- DIY Magic Spells: This craft is over 9000! Decorate a light-up magic spell of your very own
- Hungry Creatures: We’ve got some adorably hungry storage cubes for you to decorate and feed your treasures to! Choose monsters or foxes (you provide the tails).
- Shadowbox Scenes: Light up a miniature shadow box with silhouettes to tell a scene!
- Dice Trays: We’re making a custom tray to roll your dice in! In case you don’t have dice, we’ll provide those too!
Saturday:

- Gnome Abodes: Our gnomes live in flowerpots…but every home is different! Make a home for gnomes and decorate it how you like.
- Alien Containment Devices: We’ve captured some interstellar invaders! Decorate your containment device and put an alien in stasis to take home!
- Fairy Bottles: We’ll be catching fairies in a bottle to keep by our bedside! Decorate a bottle full of fairy lights to use as a night light!
- Hero’s Gear: It’s dangerous to go alone! Make your own adventurer’s tunic and belt full of useful items
- Slap Some Gears on It: Make your own steampunk goggles and top hat, to explore the world Jules Verne style!

- Bottle Stopper Bestiary: We’ve got a whole bottle of corks to make wee beasties from. Build your own miniature menagerie and then take it home
- Shooting Stars: Hang some stars that defy gravity!
- Mimics & Monsters: Decorate a treasure chest… does it contain tricks or treats?
- Sock Monsters: Create a miniature monster out of a sock!
