Elevator Pitch:
We’re going to make spinning optical illusion discs! These are old-school fidget toys.
What We Need
Consumable Items
- Cardstock or chipboard circles with 2 pre-punched holes in them
- Paper discs to match the circles, also with pre-punched holes in them
- Twine cut to 24″ lengths
Reusable Items
- Markers
- Crayons
- Glue sticks
Motley Kids Crates

How to Make It:
- Color a design on one side of each of two paper discs
- Glue the discs to the chipboard circle (line up the holes!)
- Thread twine through the holes in a loop and tie
- Spin the disc by pulling on the twine ends and watch the colors blur
