Elevator Pitch

This is the short program version of the craft blurb

This Craft Makes: 

We can’t get enough of Tuk-Tuk from Raya and the last dragon! We’ve made our own upcycled version.

Supplies: 

You will need:

  • Hot Glue/Glue Guns
  • Plastic Bags (You will need enough plastic shopping bags or newspaper to stuff the sock)
  • Plastic Cup (“Solo” Type)
  • Scissors
  • Sock (An anklet type will work best)

You may also want:

  • Decorating bling
  • Felt Scraps (for making a face)
  • Googly Eyes
  • Sharpies/Permanent Markers

Steps to Make It

  1. Stuff your sock with the plastic bags or newspaper until it is pretty full (you want to be able to bend it)
  2. Hot glue shut and set aside
  3. Cut the plastic cup into 2 half cups by cutting two slits down the sides
  4. Remove the bottom of the cup and discard
  5. Cut the rim off the cup and then cut the half-cup into arcs about 1 inch wide
  6. Starting at the tail end of your sock, glue the arcs on to the sock. Overlap them a little bit.
  7. Make a face out of felt and googly eyes (or draw one with sharpies) and glue it on to your Tuk Tuk
  8. Decorate with feet, felt, sparkles, or whatever else you need!
