Supplies: 

You will need:

• Two craft sticks (three if you have four feet)
• Hot glue or craft glue
• Some big pompoms (2-4, the bigger the better) for body
• 1 big pompom for the head
• Some medium pompoms (we recommend 2 for this stream, but you can do 4) for feet
• Some smallish pompoms (2 for each foot)
• Yarn, string, or twine
• Washers, pennies, or other small heavy objects for foot weights (1 per foot)
• Masking tape or transparent tape
• Pony beads or beads with big holes in them
• Felt scraps
• Googly eyes
• Fishing line

You may also want:

• Scissors
• An extra craft stick to measure
• Bling, as always

Steps to Make It

1. Glue your two sticks together into an X shape.  Set aside. 
2. Glue your large pompoms together to make your critter body (use plenty of glue)
3. Glue your heavy objects to your foot pompoms
4. Cut a piece of string for each foot pompom.  This will end up being about a craft stick (4-5”) long 
5. To attach your legs, you will want to use a small pompom to avoid burning your fingers 
   1. Put glue on your small pompom and glue on your foot pompom 
   2. QUICKLY sandwich the end of your string between the pompoms
6. Wrap the other end of the string with a little tape (this works best if you fold a bit over first) to make a needle. 
7. Thread some pony beads on your string to make decorated socks
8. Use your craft stick to measure if you like
9. When you are done, loop your string around and thread it through your top bead from the bottom to secure
10. Cut your strings to be all the same length.
11. To attach your legs to the body, you will again want to use a small pompom to avoid burning your fingers 
    1. Put glue on your small pompom and glue on your body pompom 
    2. QUICKLY sandwich the end of your string between the pompoms
12. Use felt and googly eyes to make a head with your remaining big pompom
13. Cut a neck for your creature (we suggest about 3-4 finger widths long)
14. Glue your neck to the end of your body and the bottom of your head using the small pompom technique
    1. Put glue on your small pompom and glue on your body pompom 
    2. QUICKLY sandwich the end of your string between the pompoms
